Shailja Chaturvedi OAM

Shailja Chaturvedi OAM is an Indian-born, Australia-based author with a medical background and a lifelong passion for writing and poetry. She has contributed richly to both health sciences and literary fields through bilingual publications in Hindi and English.
Her services in Australia and Fiji earned her the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) — one of the highest recognitions for service in the country.
With four published books and many essays and articles to her name, Shailja writes to amplify unheard voices, illuminate hidden wounds, and celebrate resilience.
